Vieri taught me some new techniques for my post processing and helped in image selection and critiques of composition. Still, what I have found perhaps most impressive is that Vieri’s commitment to teaching does not end at the end of the seminar. I have submitted a number of photographs from the trip that I processed to Vieri for his comments. He has responded promptly and with helpful suggestions for how to improve the photographs. In sum, I have found Vieri and Zeynep to be a class act, really nice folks, and to provide an experience that represents good value for one’s money if one really wishes to improve as a photographer!
I have been exploring and photographing Iceland in winter for nearly ten years now, and my love for it just keeps growing. From the spectacular Icelandic landscapes to the moody winter weather, from the incredible skies to the powerful oceans, in over 15 years of landscape photography Iceland is one of the destinations I felt most deeply connected with. Since our first trip there, I returned multiple times every year, always in winter, for an innumerable number of visits between explorations, personal work and Workshops. In a country where everything is a landscape photographer’s dream, the Snaefellsness peninsula, located in the south-west of Iceland, stands out with its powerful, majestic and iconic landscapes and the variety of hidden, inspiring photographic opportunities it offers. Snaefellsness is possibly my favourite region in Iceland to photograph, and I can’t wait to share its beauty with you!
Designing your Iceland Snaefellsness Residency, leveraging on over a decade of experience leading more than 110 Workshops, 13 of which in Iceland so far, I created a completely new, “vertical” Workshop concept covering everything you will need to know, from photographing iconic locations in a personal way to finding and developing your own, from working in the field to editing and processing your photographs, to creating a Portfolio.
All our years of experience and exploration of the spectacular Snaefellsness peninsula will make sure that we will have more locations on Snaefellsness than any other Workshop, locations we will have the time to revisit as much as needed to help you create a strong, original Portfolio showcasing your vision of these stunning Icelandic landscapes in the best possible way.
Never changing hotel will give us the opportunity to do advanced post-processing sessions every day and edit your photographs, whether digital or film, to get the most of their potential while staying true to your vision, and I will offer you unique insights on how I create my personal work, develop and edit it.
Designed to be the ultimate, “vertical” Workshop for those wanting to go deep into understanding, interpreting and bringing these Icelandic spectacular and dramatic landscapes of to life, your Iceland Snaefellsness Residency will be a truly unparalleled photographic and learning experience!
